Fees and payment methods
- Using a transportation card is standard. If paying with cash (T-money, Cashbee, etc.), you must prepare the exact bus fare in cash.
- Large amounts of money (5,000 won or 10,000 won) are often not accepted.
- When boarding, enter through the front door and tap your card, and when alighting, exit through the back door and tap your card again.
Bus numbers and routes
- Each bus number has a different route.
- Even if the number is the same, the direction (upbound/downbound) may differ, so you may end up at a different place; therefore, you must check your destination.
- ou can check the route and arrival time in English on the app (Kakao Map, Naver Map).
Use the stop
- The estimated arrival time is displayed on the electronic board at the bus stop. However, there may be a GPS error.
- You do not need to wave your hand in advance when the bus arrives; if you wait at the bus stop, it will stop automatically.
- You must press the stop bell when getting off. If you do not press the bell, the bus may pass the stop.
Precautions when using
- As a general rule, seats reserved for the elderly and pregnant women should be kept empty.
- Large luggage or strollers may be difficult or restricted from boarding.
- Buses usually stop operating between 23:00 and 24:00. Since they do not run 24 hours a day, you must check the last bus time.
- You can check the last train time on the app.
intercity bus
- Intercity buses are long-distance route buses. They are used for travel between cities or regions.
- Travel time, fares, and the number of stops vary by route, so you must check the route and stop details before booking or departure.
- Tickets can be purchased at the terminal ticket office or through the online reservation system.
- There may be conditions regarding large luggage or seat selection, so please check in advance.
Intercity bus vs. Express bus
- Intercity buses connect small and medium-sized cities or county-level regions and often stop at intermediate stops.
- Express buses travel quickly on highways for long-distance routes between major cities, and most operate directly.
